In 1993, Ronda Nelson’s oldest daughter survived a diagnosis of terminal bone cancer. Though she had no medical or nutritional planning education at the time, she was a mom with a problem to solve, and she experienced a profound ah-ha moment when she discovered a link between cancer and nutrition. After getting a Ph.D in holistic nutrition, she opened her own clinic in 2003. To deal with her rapidly growing waitlist, she began teaching other practitioners all over the country, and found herself exhausted and physically sick after traveling over 30 weeks a year. Now, at Restoration Health, she gives people what they need to be better clinicians. She’s built a sustainable, thriving community – and gotten her life and health back. In today’s conversation, Ronda shares the story of her unique journey into holistic medicine. You’ll hear why her practice left her feeling trapped in a career she loved, and how she now runs a life-changing, authentic business that gives her the freedom and support she needs, while empowering others.
