While backpacking around Australia, Ginny Gane discovered the law of attraction. She discovered the vibrational components of life and human interaction, and as her life became easier, she found others calling her their law of attraction coach.
Now, at LOA Skills Camp, Ginny helps her students truly leverage the law of attraction in their lives and live their dreams. She’s built a unique funnel that gives people the fundamentals to manifest everything they want in life, and uses the membership model to provide continuing education and community to see their visions through.
Today, Ginny joins the podcast to share the story of how childhood bullying set her on her unique path through life, how she discovered she could get paid doing what she loved, and how to use a membership to teach something that can seem cosmic.

[INTRODUCTION]
Shelli Varela: When you unlearn what the world is telling you what you should do and tune in to what’s actually true for you, everything is possible.
Stu McLaren: There is a big trend brewing that’s revolutionizing the way business is being done. Big companies like Netflix, Amazon, and Apple are jumping on this too but so are thousands of others in all kinds of markets like photography and calligraphy, fitness, finance, meal planning, lesson planning, dog training, and so many more, and they’re doing it by shifting to a recurring revenue model. Hi. My name is Stu McLaren and for more than a decade I’ve been helping tens of thousands of entrepreneurs generate recurring revenue through membership sites. Join our host, Shelli Varela, as she takes you behind-the-scenes to see how these companies are building a thriving tribe that spends with them every single month. Now, let’s get to today’s episode.
[INTERVIEW]
Shelli Varela: Ginny Gane, welcome to the It’s a TRIBE Thing Podcast. How are you? Yes.
Ginny Gane: I’m awesome. How are you, Shelli?
Shelli Varela: Awesome too. Thank you for being here. You’re great. Your wheelhouse you talk about the law of attraction, that is one of my absolute favorite subjects. So, I’m excited not only to share who you are, what you do, and who you serve but also just to kind of uncover for those people who are listening that are just learning about the law of attraction kind of how that works.
Ginny Gane: That’s a big topic. How long do we have?
Shelli Varela: 14 hours.
Ginny Gane: All right. Perfect.
Shelli Varela: Squeeze it in.
Ginny Gane: Yeah.
Shelli Varela: Awesome. Yeah. So, if you can start with like who you serve and how you got to be a person who has the membership site. Who were you before you knew about law of attraction?
Ginny Gane: Love it. So, I serve women who just have a base of knowledge about LOA but are desiring to take control of their life and really create that fulfilling life of their dreams. Now, I’m going to go all the way back with my story because Shelli told me to, back all the way to grade school.
Shelli Varela: I wish everybody did that when Shelli told them to do it but anyways, I get that.
Ginny Gane: Back to grade school. So, I think it was around grade six and I was experiencing some like bullying from other girls in my grade and I don’t actually like super remember it a lot. I think I’ve done a lot to like just move through that but what came from that experience was I had great parents that empowered me with like the ability, “Hey, you always have a choice in this.” So, you have a choice of how you’re going to respond to what people are saying about you and how much attention you give to what they think versus what you think. And guess what, like you’re actually the creator of your reality and it has a lot to do with what you think and how you’re focused. We didn’t go into quite how you feel back then. So, I started from a young age learning I have the power to choose and the importance of my thoughts and my focus.
Shelli Varela: Sorry. For those people who are listening, because I know this is an amazing topic that will change people’s lives so people should absolutely follow you and join you but you said something interesting. You said when I was getting bullied, your parents shared with you about this truth that you can create your own reality and you can think a different way. When they first said that to you when you were in the circumstances and I say this to draw a parallel between those who are listening now who may be new to this, was there a piece of you who said like, “Yeah, but you don’t understand. This is really hard or it’s really crappy or it’s really emotionally painful?”
Ginny Gane: Yeah. I don’t think at that point I did. I trusted my parents too much. But I do know as we get older, I do get that a lot with my clients and I understand that as, “You don’t understand what I’m going through,” part. And it’s been a beautiful learning of that balance of like, “Hey, this is your responsibility and have compassion with yourself at the exact same time,” and being able to hold that space. But, yeah, I think when I was young, I just more accepted it as truth because I didn’t know any different so I was like, “Okay, I get to choose. Okay. Well, this is how it is then.” And I don’t think they quite said that. It was more about having an empowering choice versus you create your reality. That kind of came along a little bit later.
Shelli Varela: So, when you started creating different thoughts and following their advice, what was the shift that you noticed? Like, what was the first shift that you went, “Huh, that’s something.”
Ginny Gane: So, what happened was it really required me to become confident within myself. And so, when other people say something as this skill is so important throughout our whole lives is people are going to judge you no matter what you do or say, and so do things that are for you and in alignment with you and your choices. But having that confidence to be able to follow my own path, which that’s what I learned so young that, “Hey, if I want to go do run track instead of taking this math quiz,” I don’t know, not really exactly like that but that you get the confidence to stand behind your own desires and walk your own path versus constantly trying to fit into what the world is trying to tell you to do.
Shelli Varela: I loved in your bio is it talked about getting rid of shoulds.
Ginny Gane: Get away from the shoulds. That like drives me crazy. We are not meant to be here to all be the same. We’re meant to be different.
Shelli Varela: Do you find though that people who like we’re all indoctrinated in the same appraising in the society that we’re part of and its societal norms and it happens without us being aware or conscious because it’s sort of like grain of sand, grain of sand, grain of sand. And then later on, you see something that you maybe want to pursue or something you’re interested in and immediately you shut it down with that logical voice which is, basically, you look up and you’re on a beach and the beach is I can’t because you haven’t seen it before or because you shouldn’t do it.
Ginny Gane: There are so many things. I love that you brought that up because we aren’t consciously aware of how we’re being conditioned until we are, until someone brings it up or you bring it up and it is a part of our natural evolution. We are going to be brought into our awareness that, “Hey, you have a choice in this,” and, “Hey, you have a limiting belief about you have to work hard to make money.” That’s why you’re running up against this challenge in your life. And so, it’s always tied back to those conditioning, that conditioning that we got. Yeah.
Shelli Varela: So powerful. I’m going to absolutely love this. But anyways, back to your journey. So, you make different choices. You’re being bullied. The situation is changing. What happened in your life after that, as you sort of transitioned along?
Ginny Gane: So, that really helped me follow my own path early on, do sports, make choices about schools. I was an athlete, basketball, soccer, but make choice about sports, athletics, schools, whereas going to go to school, and then post-school when I’m in that, like, “Oh, I was one of those people that didn’t really know what I wanted to do.” All I knew is that I wanted it to be something I loved. I didn’t want to spend my time or my life doing something that wasn’t fulfilling. And so, that was really important and I ended up traveling in Australia for a year. I went with a friend of mine and did not work out. After two months we parted and so I was solo for most of the time. But that was when I first came into the law of attraction. So, I was recommended, oh, and it’s actually a very LOA story. It was like I remember being in the middle of this like open shopping center place. I was on a payphone. You guys remember those things in the old days, calling home international?
And it was my parents who said like, “Hey, you should read this book by Abraham Hicks, The Astonishing Power Of Emotions.” And I’m like a backpacker on a budget. I’m like, “That book is 34 Australian dollars. There’s no freaking way I can afford that right now. That’s like a week of food.” Anyways, I’m like, “Okay, whatever. Cool.” Hung up. I walked down the street and on the bookstore on the table stand that It was that book and I’m like, “I need to pick this up and I had to go buy it,” and so I did and it changed everything. As soon as I understood, for me, understanding the vibrational components of our life and interactions and all that part, everything just clicked and I just relaxed. I got it. It was like I resonated with that message entirely. And so, then I just started living it and life started to be much more easier. I never was a person that was like, “I’m going to manifest this. I’m going to manifest this.” I just wanted to live fully and life I’ve experienced so much love and joy and adventure and abundance and all these different experiences, everything I was asking for, and that was probably like five years or so. And then one of my friends just said to me like, “You’re basically my law of attraction coach,” and I’m like, “Wait, what? What does that mean?”
Shelli Varela: Like, is that a thing?
Ginny Gane: I said, “Is that a thing?” And I was like, “Hold up, I can make money do talking about this thing that I love and helping people understand and empower themselves in their own life? Like I’m in.” So, that was like another huge switch. Go ahead.
Shelli Varela: No. Keep going. It’s amazing.
Ginny Gane: Okay. And so, then I just like looked up a course, a certification, like how do you coach? Get trained in that and I started coaching people. And so, I did that for a couple of years doing one-on-ones and really learning what it meant. Then I wanted to have the desire to share, reach more people, and so I published a book. I wrote and published a book and through that course, it was part of that was creating a course, which now is LOA Skills Camp and teaches women how to go from knowing about the law of attraction to becoming a powerful creator, which then leads to about the membership, which is why we’re here.

[INTERVIEW]
Shelli Varela: What does that look like? So, again, you have a course that goes into the membership. What does that dynamic look like for you and for your business in terms of the flow path of taking your people through your system?
Ginny Gane: So, the women that come to me, they have an idea about LOA. A lot of people have watched The Secret, right? That’s their first introduction and they’re using concepts and they were wanting to manifest and feel more connection in their life like feel like they have a sense of control. And so, when they come into LOA Skills Camp, which is an eight-week course, we do some group, we do some individual, there’s lots of support, and have a five-step process. Now, that I’ve worked with so many people, I understand what they need to go from here to here. And so, we have women going from coming in and being unsure and walking out and feel like I feel like anything is possible. And so, it’s the most amazing compliment to hear people say that after they’ve been through that and to understand their power to create the life. It lights me up. I never get tired of this. So, then to support their continued implementation and growth and continuing to manifest everything they want in their life because people have big dreams and I always say, no, that’s not going to happen in eight weeks. Come learn your power. Come learn how to do it on your own and for yourself. Get the foundation. And then you can do it on your own or you can do it with the group and that’s what the membership is.
Shelli Varela: I still love that because what I find I’m a law of attraction kind of girl too and you find this…
Ginny Gane: Yeah. Awesome manifesting story.
Shelli Varela: A lot of people in like we’ll call the regular world don’t necessarily get how much power you have in creating a reality. And so, when you are around those people all of the time, all you hear is doubt and fear and they’re loving you within the limits of their own fear, their doubts because oftentimes, they don’t want to see you get your teeth kicked in and they don’t want to see you be disappointed. But the truth is it can be exhausting and if you allow it, if you’re not in a community of people who are like you that way, it becomes very easy to start doubting yourself and say, “Well, maybe.” So, I love that you have created not only a course so it’s like, “Here’s the information. We’re going to give you the tools,” but then you’re going to build the thing together.
Ginny Gane: Yeah. We have so much power and I think sometimes I forget like what the real world is like because this is my every day. Everybody I talked to is on board with this because it’s my coworkers, my clients, my team, my partner, my family, that this is my world. So, I feel extremely blessed for that. And when clients come in and say, “Okay, this is my world,” I’m like, “Whoa, it’s crazy.”
Shelli Varela: You’re like, “No, no, come on over here.”
Ginny Gane: Yeah, exactly. I’m like, “Well, it’s way better over here,” but that’s a transition for people and it’s 100% possible. You don’t force anything. It will naturally happen. Yeah, your environment, your surrounding’s changing,
Shelli Varela: So powerful. What do you find for people or what advice do you give people who are having trouble tuning into their own vibrational alignment in terms of determining whether something is a yes or no? Like, you know what I mean? So, for those people who are automatically like most people lead with logic. It’s like, hey, do you want to do this? And immediately they go to tabulating in their intellectual brain about whether they could, should, whether they’ve seen an example of it and most people are not accustomed to and, quite frankly, sometimes uncomfortable initially tapping into how do I actually feel about this? Because sometimes If it’s a heck yes, then you’ve got to go do the scary thing.
Ginny Gane: Yeah. And I love that you said that because I’m a big like if it’s not a hell yes, it’s a no. And I even say that when people when I’m talking to people about, “Is skills campus for you?” and they’re like, “I don’t know,” I’m like, that’s a no. If it’s not a hell yes, it’s a no. But how you develop that is it’s a skill and you have to start to practice it, but you first have to understand how your guidance system works. You know, you can’t start trusting something that you don’t understand how it works. So, you start gradually paying attention to that, building an awareness, doing it in small areas so that you can build up that confidence in that system and that guiding system, but that is something we talk about a lot is like are you making this decision? Are you in your head about this? Are you tuned into your intuition and your emotional guidance system when it comes to making decisions?
But a lot of people want to think their way to an answer. We can’t get it wrong like we can never get it wrong enough that we can’t get back on track but it’s just going to be easier when you’re tuned in and connected to that inner part of you that’s actually guiding this beyond our intellectual capacity. Our minds are limited. We don’t want to be making decisions with our minds. We want to be making decisions based on this life force that we all have access to whatever guides nature and has a sun and moon and all these things that we have access to that. Yeah, exactly. Let’s leverage that in our decisions.
Shelli Varela: It’s interesting the way I’ve noticed that society will prioritize and prefer sort of the masculine logical, provable…
Ginny Gane: Science-based.
Shelli Varela: Practical, tactical, and it’s not that there’s anything necessarily wrong with that, but I always say it’s always best to lead with possibility. You use logic and the tools, the actual implementing tools, to shore up your possibility, but you first have to know where you’re going and that that is true for you because I’ve seen so many people that, like you could say, if you are the child of two lawyers and you’re like, “Well, I know what the lifestyle looks like. I know that I’m smart enough to be a lawyer,” because you have the same DNA. So, you effort to the top of that mountain, you effort, and you finally get to the top of the mountain and you’re miserable. And you’re like, “Oh, wrong mountain. I was meant to be an oil…
Ginny Gane: Wrong mountain. A lot of people do that. Yeah, but climbing that wrong mountain is going to give you a heck of a lot of skills for when you hit the one you want to climb.
Shelli Varela: Absolutely.
Ginny Gane: Can’t get it wrong.
Shelli Varela: Yeah, it’s kind of like you either you get what you want or you get the lesson you needed.
Ginny Gane: Yeah. You get the growth for sure.
Shelli Varela: What’s the best example that you have experienced either personally or someone in your community who came in either not knowing or doubting or said, “You know, I want this big, amazing thing.” And what did that look like?
Ginny Gane: Let me tell you, everyone comes in with doubt so I could use all of them. Oh, gosh, there’s so many. Well, I’ll use a personal example since it’s easiest. It’s something I’ve wanted my whole life and it was in addition to wanting to do something I love which was really important to me. I really cared about finding like true love, real love. I was like I’m not settling. I saw so many people in relationships that I didn’t understand why they’re still there if they weren’t happy. And so, it was really a strong desire in me and I had to grow through a lot of things and there was definitely doubt that is it really possible? Is this experience for me possible? Does it exist? And like this was already when I knew LOA. I knew I could be, do, or have anything I want. Intellectually, I knew that but there’s this area that was like, “But I haven’t met my person yet.” Right?
And so, there’s that balance of coming together of like holding the vision of what you want and trusting as much as you can, and the more you trust, the less doubt you have. And I will say I believed and I trusted but I didn’t know until I met her, and it was like instant and then I knew. So, I got married last year to kind of wrap up that.
Shelli Varela: Congrats, by the way.
Ginny Gane: Thank you. And I will say I didn’t like no, no until it was right there in front of me. And so, sometimes people because you’ll hear out there, oh, you have to know it before it will happen. You have to believe it. But there’s that believe it enough and that knowing level. We know through experience. So, the only way we can know is by experiencing something. We can get very close to it but to fully know it is to experience it. And so, having then met her, got married, the alignment of it, the perfection of it like our relationship. I still say this all the time to her. It’s like this is better than I imagined. So, when we’re doing manifesting stuff and you’re writing down all the things you want of your partner, it’s awesome and important, and you need it, but it manifests better than you can imagine. And that’s the beautiful, awesome thing.
Shelli Varela: I love it. I’m going to share a quick example as well for anybody who’s listening. So, many people know I went from a 108-pound manicurist to my city’s first female firefighter in 1,162 days. But the backstory is I had no relatable skills, knowledge, experience. I wasn’t big enough, brave enough, smart enough, strong enough, any of those things but I ran into a family friend and he was a firefighter. He was going through a devastating time in his life. So, I would show up every week to keep him talking, keep his mind off things. And the one thing he could talk about forever was his job as a firefighter. And so, he tells me all of these stories. I’m like, “Dude, that’s your job,” like blown away that this is what you get to do. And eventually, he ran out of stories. We started teaching new lessons and I would have never known otherwise because my label was I’m an artist so I should go to art school or should do something artsy. But it turns out I had a natural mechanical aptitude I would have never known about otherwise. Long story short, I corrected him on something he taught me and he turns to me and says, “Why don’t you just apply?” And I’m like, “Well, look at me.”
Ginny Gane: Exactly. That’s the exact same thing as like, “Why don’t you just be a coach?” That is so LOA. Yeah.
Shelli Varela: Totally. And so, here’s the thing. I had so much regard and so much respect for him and like I just trusted him implicitly and he told me I could.
Ginny Gane: Gave you permission.
Shelli Varela: At no point did I doubt it. I knew I was going to get my teeth kicked in. I knew I was going to struggle to learn the things I didn’t know and there was 1,000 of them. But the thing that I did to your point was I practiced every single night feeling what it would feel like when I got the phone call, not just thinking about the phone call. I actually practiced feeling what it felt like to get the job offer. And when I did 1,162 days later it felt exactly like I practiced.
Ginny Gane: Yeah, that’s exactly it. That’s the thing most people missing in leveraging LOA. It’s not just about your thoughts. It’s about how it feels. And let me ask you this, when you got the phone call, and it felt like that, did it feel like a big deal?
Shelli Varela: No.
Ginny Gane: Exactly. Because you had practiced the vibration or the feeling of that so much, it was natural. It was yours and that’s what we know. If there’s something we want, it’s like, “Oh, my God, that would be amazing.” That’s actually a sign that we’re not vibrationally close to it. Because when things happen, it’s normal. So, when the millions of dollars come in, you’re like, yeah, that’s awesome. You’re not like, “Wow.”
Shelli Varela: It should look familiar. So, you need to practice making that feel familiar. I could literally talk to you forever but I know that people are going to want to know this. If they’re looking to reach out to you online, where’s the best place they can find you, learn from you, join your community?
Ginny Gane: My website, GinnyGane.com, and I like to play on Instagram at first. Lots of fun stuff happens. Same thing, @GinnyGane.
Shelli Varela: Amazing. Thank you so much for your time, for your genius, and for sharing all your stories.
Ginny Gane: Thank you, Shelli.
[CLOSING]
